gold(en) disc/ gold(en) wheel I think both Adsion and karcsy have done a thorough job researching the meaning of 相轮。I have learnt a great deal just by following the links they provided. There're basically two ways of translate this term, one is transliteration, in that case both 'roban' (Chinese) and 'sourin' (Japanese) are acceptable; the other way is try to explain what 相轮 is or is like, in that case, I'd translate it as above, that is, as 'golden(en) disc' or 'golden(en) wheel'. I think 'dew basin' should be reserved for bigger pagodas placed outside and not the 阿育王塔 that (I think) is described in the text cited.
