As per John Detre's suggestion and with witch I agree : "Probably what is meant but note that hiérarchique and fonctionnel are often used to refer to line relationships and functional relationships. If the distinction is important in context, may have to work it into title".

So I suggest : evolvement/advancement or accession/progression

No adjectives needed in the heading in this context, and no need for 'path'.

If what follows is NOT strictly about the person's parcours hiérarchique et fonctionnel, THEN you might consider descriptives.:-)
