The text is about packaging for transport. Goods are placed in reusable "flamingokasser" for transport and storage (goods are non-perishable). I've found various references that look like polystyrene boxes, so does the word simply mean "polystyrene box" or is it just that a "flamingokasse" could be made of polystyrene (but not necessarily).
