French term
l’accélération des travaux
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Mining & Minerals / Gems
[A new type of technology] 'permet l’accélération des travaux et la protection de l’environnement'.
I'm trying to find something a bit neater than 'allows work to be completed more quickly', but also, I'm not sure how to join it to the bit about the environment.
I understand that there's an implied 'while' here, but as it's not spelled out in the original, I hesitate to bring it out in the translation, i.e., 'allows work to be completed more quickly while protecting the environment'.
I'm also eager to maintain the formal (and slightly propagandistic!) tone of the original.

: Yip, verb it. "Permet de" is just something they say because they use the "vague verb + noun" combination, it doesn't actually mean "allow". Possibly "HELPS speed up work and protect the environment".
