deflocculating

I believe this is used as an adjective here - as in "deflocculating action".

Also in Zanichelli l'inglese tecnico e scientifico

deflocculent

Flocculent means "The process by which individual particles of clay aggregate into clotlike masses or precipitate into small lumps. Flocculation occurs as a result of a chemical reaction between the clay particles and another substance, usually salt water.", so deflocculent means not aggregating into clotlike masses or precipitate into small lumps, meaning spreading out of the lumps.

deflocculant, deflocculating agent (noun)

From a chemistry glossary referred to paints and varnishes
Peer comment(s):

agree jacki-dart : both spellings (a & e) exist although "a" spelling gets more hits
