Yo lo pondría así, entre comillas. Se trata de una medida que sólo se utiliza en Chile y a efectos judiciales: se calcula como un porcentaje del salario mínimo. Este porcentaje se fija en Santiago de Chile y se utiliza luego para todo el país. Creo que, en la actualidad, esta ligeramente por encima del 22% del salario mínimo, sea cual sea en cada momento.

: Your explantion is not correct. Among other things, many countries have a similar 'minimum wage' concept, and it is not only of 'legal' relevance - it is a fact of life here in Chile. And 'life wage' is grossly misleading in English.

Many countries have a minimun wage concept, but only Chile has a "salario vital" which is 22% of the minimum wage. There are 2 different concepts in Chile: minimum wage which is XXXXXX and salario vital which is 22% of xxxxxx.
