Turkish term

tahsis

Turkish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Context:
Mali, İdare, Adli kaza mercileri gibi resmi makamlar ile Bankalara, Ortaklara ve Müşterilere gönderilecek yazı ve belgeleri, faturalar ile Bankalara gerek _tahsis_ ve gerekse teminat olarak Şirket adına verilen senetlerin ciroları,

Question: What is the meaning of "tahsis" in this context?

Notes: This occurs on a signature authorization document (imza sirküleri). "Tahsis" usually means to allocate, appropriate or assign, but that is not meaningful here. What is being assigned here? You can give a promissory note to a bank as collateral (teminat). I can only assume that "tahsis" means that the promissory note may be given to the bank as payment, perhaps for a debt. A literal translation will not be helpful.

assign

I believe "assign" is the verb you need to use in this sentence. I would construct that part of the sentence as follows: "endorsement of promissory notes *assigned* or given as security to Banks in the name of the Company"

Peer comment(s):

agree Erkan Dogan : Asker's note is self-explanatory. Allocation is the word I'd use and is stronger here, because -I think- there is a benefit in having some "allocated" promissory notes. If they were meant to be “utilized”, then I'd use the answer below. Makes sense?

transfer(ed) funds

You are right there(!) It seems a promissory note is given in return of stg., very likely a debt (!) In any case, some funds are either transferred or blocked (posed) in favor of some other party. Syntax may be misleading as well. What bank would accept a “promissory note” without counter-guaranty of some other bank.

appropriation

Appropriation essentially means that the collateral taker in an enforcement event may … keep the assets as its own property instead of selling them
