Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
How do I translate *Indicazione Geografica Tipica*? Would the British reader be more familiar with "Vin de pays"? or is there an equivalent in English? Or should I just leave it in Italian with an explanation?

So, to answer your question, apparently the world has chosen just your route to dealing with the "Italian wine alphabet soup" (as one of the above sites puts it!) : leave it in Italian, with an explanation

see "indicazione geografica tipica" at www.watson.it/
and
Typical Geographical Indication (IGT)
Recognition of quality attributed to wines characterised by larger production areas and far less stringent production regulations. Other attributes may also be mentioned, such as the grape variety. IGT wines are equivalent to the French Vin de Pays and German Landwein.

(but you can't put "vin de pays", because it's French...)
