to relentlessly strive to achieve something
to relentlessly strive to achieve something
Relentlessly striving to slim down or to be or remain very thin. That is to say, a person focuses on keeping thin or slimming down or losing weight regardless of the price or the efforts she/he should undertake to that end.

claim, claim credits for
"aufs Panier schreiben" literally means "to write on ones flag, banner, ensign", usually meaning "to claim credits" for some accomplishment etc.; sometimes it's a bit more like "to claim responsibility".

well, of course, from \"to claim credits\" over \"to claim responsibility\" the meaning sometimes extends to \"to claim a task\", \"to adopt a task\".

or, of course, \"to accept responsibility\" or \"to accept a task\".
Clearly, the colour shading depends on the rest of the sentence (for instance \"darf\" or \"muss\", like in the references\") and the context in general.

since Magerkeit, in contrast to \"Schlankheit\" or \"gute Figur\" usually is not a aim to pursue, I would be surprised, if here the meaning should be \"to relentlessly strive to achieve something\" or \"to make it one\'s cause\" (as Magerkeit in English is \"meagerness\" or \"thinness\", not \"slimness\")

: etwas auf sein Panier schreiben bedeutet eher "etwas unbeirrt als Ziel verfolgen", d.h., man will etwas um jeden Preis erzwingen..

well, it's an idiom with an array of related meanings, but if you read my references, you will see, that "to relentlessly strive to achieve something" would not be suitable in either case.
