English term

leveraged exposure

English to Swedish Bus/Financial Finance (general) fondprospekt
Kontext: The Certificates do not provide leveraged exposure to the Commodity Indices
Översättning: Andelsbevisen är inte föremål för XXX exponering mot råvaruindexen.

Översättningar av leveraged är "lånefinansierad" och "med hävstångseffekt", men jag undrar om det finns något annat och vilket som kan tänkas avses här.

Discussion

Elisabeth Karlsson (asker) Feb 19, 2009:
Difficult to decide the connotation of "provide" It is very difficult to say if "provide" is positive or negative here. I insert the whole paragraph: "The Factor enables the Issue Price/Redemption Amount for each Series to be calculated as a fraction of the Commodity Index Level and will be determined and specified for each Series of Certificates in the Final Terms. The maximum Factor is 1. The Certificates do not provide leveraged exposure to the Commodity Indices."
Anders Dalström Feb 19, 2009:
I'd be inclined to go with 'lånefinansierad' but it all hinges on whether 'do not provide' is supposed to be a benefit or a disadvantage. Given the current financial turmoil (euphemism...) it would be a good thing if the certicates are not leveraged.
Elisabeth Karlsson (asker) Feb 19, 2009:
More context The certificates are "andelar" intended to give the bearer a performance and each payment implies an underlying swaptransaction. Does this make my question easier to understand?
Anders Dalström Feb 19, 2009:
what is their function...d'oh.
Anders Dalström Feb 19, 2009:
Do you have any more context? What are the Certificates and what are their function (except not providing leveraged exposure to the Commodity Indices)?

seems to make sense, but there could be a more suitable/subtle term (i.e more euphemisms) as the key word for these funds seems to be 'implicit' :

Unlike borrowing money to buy a house, leveraged index funds generally do not borrow but rather invest in financial instruments which have implicit leverage, such as futures contracts, or explicit leverage, such as swap contracts. Like a mortgage, however, these financial instruments can be purchased for a fraction of the market exposure they provide. The following section outlines the unique aspects of expected returns for bull funds and bear funds.
Note from asker:
what is a bull fund in Swedish?
