French term

sans minima ni maxima

French to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
I'm wondering what this phrase relates to. It appears in my framework agreement in relation to purchase orders issued subsequently under the framework agreement.

I'm not sure if this is saying that there are no limits on the number of PO contracts that can be entered into, or whether there is no limit on the upper or lower value of the subsequent PO contracts.

What do you think please?

Paula McMullan (asker) Oct 15, 2008:
Thanks, Matthew and Kashew. I asked two of the French lawyers I work with and neither of them could say with certainty that this refers to the number of POs or their value! I'll check it with the client and let you know.

without any upper or lower limit value

Hello,

That would be my guess, but you need to get confirmation from someone who is more of a finance expert.

I don't think they're talking about the number of contracts they can enter into.

I hope this helps.
Note from asker:
Thanks, Matthew. You may well be right - there's reference later to authorisation being sought irrespective of the value of the order. It's always nice if someone can come up with a concrete reference, but at this time of night, I'm probably asking too much!
