Una cosa mas... Sorry , I forgot to tell you that the numbers 2X1, 3X2 indican el numero de dientes en la pinza, no el estilo de la pinza.

No obstante... He hecho una búsqueda en Google y he hallado varias coincidencias para "forceps with teeth"/"forceps without teeth", de modo que no todas las pinzas tienen dientes. En todo caso se trataba de pinzas Adson y hay varias coincidencias para "Adson forceps with teeth"/"Adson forceps without teeth". De ahí que piense que "teeth" es lo correcto.

Ah, pero... Wilson, los dientes son parte de la garra. Hasta pinzas que no tienen garras tienen dientes. Eso es lo que 2 X 1 indica. Garra (claw) te indica el tipo de la pinza para diferenciarlo de otros (puntiagudas, Delfin, cuchara, garra, standard ). Liz Askew menciona "dissecting forceps with claw", que me parece que es lo acertado cuando lo comparas con la figura que tu mencionas.

Explicación Al principio pensé que se trataba de "alcance" de la pinza, pero al hacer una mayor investigación me di cuenta que se trataba de "dientes" como lo aclara perfectamente y con ilustraciones el siguiente enlace:

forceps Wilson, no se porque pensaste que "reach" podria ser una opcion, nos los explicas? "Garra" como tu lo sabes significa 'claw". Creo que acertarias si buscas que las pinzas (forceps) tenga la palabra garra (claw) incluida. Algo como "claw forcep, 2 X 1 teeth, 100 - 120 mm". De lo que no estoy segura es, si la frase se refiere a la garra y la pinza de diseccion como un solo instrumento, o si la pinza de diseccion y la de agarre de garra son dos diferentes instrumentos. Puedes aclarar?

It is the "garra" bit that is bothering me,

whenever I do a search with "dissecting forceps + 12 cm + 1 x 2"

I always come up with "teeth" for the "1x2" part.

Garra, must be teeth here.

agree mikellys : Agree with "dissecting forceps with claw". The teeth are at the very end of each of the arms of the forceps (2X1 in this case indicates that there is one tooth per arm).
