"somos un estado netamente productor".
I have tried "producing state" but felt that this is usually preceded by a noun, as in "oil-producing state". I also tried "producer state", but when i googled this term, it came up with references to producing explosives, which the article does not imply. The state is a producer of maize. Also, I am unsure as to the word 'netamente' in this context.
This is taken from a magazine article about a Mexican state that is enjoying a boom at the moment.

"net" is not a direct translation of "netamente"of course but the idea is that they produce enough to be able to export into the bargain
