Hello,
I'm subtitling part of a trial and I just cannot find the translation for the term "closing argument" (=summation). I'm quite sure it's not "summering" or "opsummering" - I don't have a law dictionary.

Points or no points... hehe. Danish Law does not have a trial system with closing arguments so it would have to mean something close to "final words"

| FYI, when Googling it, "afsluttende indlæg" seems to be the correct term used by lawyers themselves (see, e.g., http://www.ret-raad.dk/neobuilder.200101221857_2525_3a6c7488d9f37.html&spec=7e1b16406744163c9edd84eb6e2334b4&themeid=200107181718_8868_3b55a8c19ad95&art_id=2005122711094371400011028&type=a). "Afsluttende bemærkning" coupled with "retssag" had even more hits, but given that the term is more vague, I will go with "afsluttende argument". Thanks to you all! :) |

: I would use this one because it is most 'transparent', given that this is a description in Danish of another country's court proceedings, not necessarily applicable to Danish law.
