German term

Reserve bei

German to English Bus/Financial Aerospace / Aviation / Space
From a gliding school:

Die Kurse dauern jeweils von Montag bis Freitag. Reserve bei Schlechtwetter, Samstag und Sonntag.

Does this mean "no classes when the weather is bad or on Saturday and Sunday"? I'm not sure what Reserve bei means here.
Proposed translations (English)
3 +4 overspill
4 {weather} make-up days

overspill

It means that if the weather is bad for gliding during the regular course days, the course then spills over to Saturday and Sunday (so that the people get their full 5 day course.

You could also call it extra time, extension, reserve days etc.

agree LP Schumacher : with "reserve days"

agree David Moore (X) : "Sa/Su held in reserve in case of bad weather" - I don't think I'd use "overspill" here, though it IS the correct definition!

agree Ingeborg Gowans (X) : would have preferred"altenative or make-up days, but this is probably not the right lingo here:)
