Shanghai Stadium
八万人体育场只是个俗称而已,官方的名称还是上海体育场.
The Shanghai Stadium (上海体育场) is a multi-use stadium in Shanghai, China. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was built in 1997 when the 8th National Games of People's Republic of China was held in Shanghai. It can hold about 80,000 people, so it is also called the "80,000 people's Stadium"(八万人体育场). It is probably one of the thirty largest football stadiums[[1]] in the world, and will be the second-largest stadium in China after the completion of the Beijing National Stadium in 2007. It will be used for football preliminaries at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

The 80,000-Man Stadium
All you are doing is trying to create a nick name or an AKA (also-known as) name, so you want it to be short and sweet. Don't use "Gymnasium" because 工人体育馆 in Beijing is The Worker's Stadium, not Gymnasium. Don't leave "Shanghai" in it because then it would be too long and awkward for a nickname.

In the same light as "The Million Man March" in Washington, D.C.
