Hard to know what the French is supposed to mean without more context. For instance, is a "bâtiment en angle" one otherwise identical to a "bâtiment linéaire" that simply happens to be at the corner of a street, or is it an L-shaped building that goes round the corner? Similarly, is a "bâtiment linéaire" a rectilinear one at some point on a street other than at the corners, or a building any shape (round, pyramidal, etc.) that happens to be on the "linéaire" part of a street rather than at the corners?

In the mean time, here's something to mull over.

For any critics of my decision to propose an answer to this, there are only TWO expressions and they are sufficiently intimately related to count as one, IMHO. It's really not as if there were a long list of disparate terms (as we sometimes see).

Admittedly it makes it difficult to grade if one term is considered to be right and the other wrong, and vice versa for another answer, but i) that's Asker's problem, and ii) who cares what's right or wrong. It's supposedly "most helpful" that counts for points.
