Spanish term

actuación de los medios probatorios

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Peruvian legislation
I'm specifically interested in the translation of "actuación", which is used throughout this piece of Peruvian legislation. Here's the context:

El Juez, en decisión motivada e inimpugnable, puede ordenar "la actuación de los medios probatorios" que considere convenientes, cuando los ofrecidos por las partes resulten insuficientes para producirle certeza y convicción.

[the Court may order] to furnish [further] evidence....

In our variety of Spanish [Southern Cone] we call it "diligenciar la prueba", and in my Univ. glossary I have it down as:

"process/furnish" evidence. In your context, I like "furnish" best, since this shall be ordered by the Court if the already submitted evidence proves to be insufficient.
