Da'wa related project

I use this coined term along my work to be in the safe side away from any Christian connotations. Da'aw is somewhat different from missionary activities

Good Luck

missionary projects / missions

The term "missionary projects" or just "missions" is sometimes used in this context. "Missions" can also refer to the specific building constructed on a missionary project.

Whether or not "Da'wa" is appropriate depends on your audience...obviously for even non-Arabic speaking Muslims, "Da'wa" would work, but for non-Arabic speaking non-Muslims with little background on Islam, it might not be understood without a parenthetical explanation.

I would agree that "missionary" sometimes has a Christian implication, though not necessarily:

In any case, give the question some time for discussion before closing it...

agree Lamis Maalouf : Your note is so true, Khalid if this was to be read by Americans. Confusion is worse when no one gets the intended meaning. I believe the best thing would be adding "Islamic" before your suggested translation.
