The underside of XXX tiles contain arrows to denote pile direction. There are numerous methods of installation:

Ashlar
Arrows should all point in the same direction with the tile bond ***displaced by half a tile*** in the length direction.

I think you'll find that carpet tiles specifically are referred to as 'dalles'

But you may have to re-work the whole sentence to fit in the expression with 'bond'.

tuiles = toit ; on parle ici de 'carpet tiles' = dalles de moquette / :-))
