In descriptions of swimming pools in Spain, this seems to be a standard term. Thanks in advance for your help.

That's probably right, or part of the answer... Someone in another forum pointed me to an online diagram from Spain in which the overflow gutter / overflow channel just inside the pool's outer wall is identified as the "rebosadero." What I need to figure out now is how to handle the clear distinction the document makes between "rebosaderos desbordantes" and "rebosaderos" in general.

most swimming pools here in Paraguay have them

i think it means the overflow area which goes around the side of the pool, either on the inside of the pool wall or just on the top, which is an overflow area to catch the water so as not to wet the surrounding floor

Context... "XXX de cada YYY piscinas cubiertas en [nombre de ciudad] presentan rebosadero de tipo desbordante." There are also comparisons of the number of pools with a "rebosadero desbordante" as opposed to other types of rebosaderos.

Obviously it has something to do with management of overflow water. In some diagrams, overflow channels are referred to as "rebosaderos" but I'm not sure what specifically to do with this "desbordante" type of them.

I've also noticed that in lists of public swimming pools in Spain, the notation "Pavimento: Rebosadero desbordante" is fairly common.

How's it used in CONTEXT?
