トップ is usually the very top of a company, either president or CEO. This is an article of interview with that person.

In some cases, トップ対談 can be a dialogue between two "tops" from different companies. But in your context, I would imagine that the President of this company is interviewed by someone like a journalist. But it tends to sound like the interviewer is also a notable individual.

As Leochan felt, what 対談 implies is that two people are equal. Otherwise, it would be called インタビュー. But from this company's point of view, it doesn't matter very much who is interviewing the president. That's why I said, "interview."

そうですね、「回遊性・・・」なんかもそうですが、日本語にあって英語にはない事柄を表現する場合は、そこを気をつけなくていけないんですね。勉強になりました。ありがとうございました！
Leochanのご意見は全くそのとおりだと思います。でも私の知る限りでは英語圏で日本スタイルの対談と言うものはまずないので、この会社の立場から見ればこの社長さんを主人公にしたインタビュー、と言うことです。英語圏でないものには英語の言葉はない、と言うことです。強いて言えばdialogue, conversation, discussion, talk, chatとかが考えられますが、この会社の意図にはそぐわないと思います。
じゃぁ、英語でなんと言うか・・・・ですね。
対談はface-to-face talk
トップは、yukiさんのご意見に賛成ですが、他に、top managementとか、
face-to-face talk between XX and YYと具体的な名前を入れるとか、、、
どなたかよろしくお願いします(^^)
googleで検索した結果を見て頂くと、ほとんどは、会社のトップ同士や
会社のトップと大学教授などが対談する二人の写真入りのものとなっています。
やはり、対談記事とインタビュー記事には違いがあり、
前者は、著名人(etc.)二人(以上）が対談をして、その中身を記事にしたもので
後者は、記者が、著名人などにインタビューをしてそれを記事にしたもの
だと思います。
