French term

tige à clipser

French to English Medical Cosmetics, Beauty skin treatment
Hello
I'm translating a series of product specifications for a dermal filler injectable gel wrinkle treatment from the makers of Botox, this term appears in the list of conditioning compnents, in the product specification. I'd really appreciate some advice on how best to translate the term.
Thanks in advance - if you need any more info please ask, thanks!

I don't know the answer, but is 'clipser' standard French these days for 'to clip'? Or I am missing some core meaning?

"conditioning" should read "packaging" Hello - a fellow translator pointed out that it is of course "packaging" and not "conditioning"; as in "list of packaging components" - apologies for any confusion caused!

translation of clipser Hi Karen yes the word clipser is awkward because I couldn't find it in any dictionary or glossary though I did find a 'tige à clipser' related to something completely different - a guitar!! - on Ebay France! Clipser does look like bastardization ('scuse the swearing !-) of the English word clip

more info re this term Thanks Tony, there isn't a great deal of info, it is one of the components of the syringe, the term is listed under description of the components, and next to "tige à clipser" is the designation which is "tige piston" which I take to be "plunger line" (not sure about "line" though, there is actually a photo of the syringe indicating the "tige piston" though don't see how I can attach the photo to this note! Hope this helps!

More info that would probably be helpful is to know what shape this is, what it fits with, what it actually does...
