Thank you for your comments, Casey, Mika and Michiko. This is about the competitive landscape in the market, not about the trade show. Actually, the surrounding sentences are too complicated to be picked up, and I misunderstood the meaning of "presence". Now I can say "whenever [vendors are] presence [in market]" Thank you.

私もcaseyさんに賛成です。Vendorがいる場合は、ということみたいですが、状況によって「在席している場合は」とか「ブースにいる場合は」とか「販売者に委託されている場合は」とか考えられますね。

そうですね。こういう表現は文脈によって訳し方が変わってきますので、逆に言えばはっきりした文脈がつかめていないととんでもない勘違いの訳ができてしまいそうですね。一見したところ展示ブースの契約を結ぶ際の、主催者側がベンダーに示す約束事のように読めますが？

Can you provide the surrounding sentences, or would it give away too much? It looks to me with just this sentence that it is talking about the presence of the vendor, i.e. if the vendor is there, then he or she should take over.
