'équerre' really only appropriate if it is only L-shaped angle, 'profilé' covers the other possibilities too

Note that FR often uses 'métallique' to refer to 'steel' in a very general sort of way, but you may feel the technically precise use of 'en acier' is more appropriate, depending on your context.
