English term

detenuto arr.ti dom.ri presente

English to Italian Law/Patents Law (general) Court Judgment
I am working on a criminal Court Judgment and cannot find these abbreviations anywhere..
I'm thinking detenuto is detained but it could also be "deemed to be".
arr. =arrestato?
Frankly I have no clue at this point. Your help is as always much appreciated

Thanks!

Rosanna Palermo (asker) Sep 22, 2007:
Dear Tex I decided it would be best to have a picture of Porto Venere, the favorite "beach hangout" of my youth (near La Spezia where I grew up instead because one of my clients could not figure out that I have a red cow"girl" hat on in the picture..and she called it a "barile" (barrell)..

PS. Where's the picture??? We want it back! :-)

the prisoner, under house arrest, is attending the hearing

Detenuto is actually convict, prisoner, arr.ti dom.ri is an abbreviation of "arresti domiciliari" (house arrest), presente simply means that the prisoner is attending the hearing.
