regulations:

you don't really need to translate "di riferimento" which is taken for granted in the context. Of course an Italian client will probably feel more reassured if you translate it, but the English reader may start to wonder if their are different types of regulations relevant, relative reference, non relevant, non relative etc.

This is the published standard on which the document is based. This is used a lot in manuals, technical specs etc.
Example sentence:
