Dutch term

zware/lichte profielen

heavy-duty/high-profile jobs vs low-key jobs

"heavy-duty" is more figurative in the sense that the job requires the person to take on a lot of responsibility (not necessarily that the work involves dealing with heavy tools, machinery or equipment).

"high-profile" meaning "high status" - they are good jobs that pay better and require more education or knowledge... so, in essence, they are "high-profile" - meaning lots of people would want the job. I guess "highly competitive" also fits in here.

For "lichte profielen" I would opt for "low-key jobs", as in jobs not requiring a lot of responsibility.

You can also substitute "position" for "job" or "low-profile" for "low-key"

For example

"XXX neemt alle zware profielen voor zijn rekening" -> "XXX accounts for all high-profile positions"

-> "YYYY only provides low-profile positions such as Librarian..."
Note from asker:
Hi Crumpler, Thank you. I was toying with the idea of high-responsibility and low-responsibility positions. I like your answer better. Thanks.

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : I would keep both the same: high-profile and low-profile.
