French term
incision de phenensthil
French to English
Medical
Medical (general)
hernia surgery
Does anyone have a clue as to what "phenensthil" might refer in the following sentence from a surgery report on a patient with a strangulated hernia?
"Incision de phenensthil qui sera prolongée de 10 cm en iliaque droite et gauche."
There were zero Google hits for "phenensthil" and nothing else associated with "strangulated hernia + incision" that threw any light on the issue. Informed guidance would be greatly appreciated! TIA.

: hey you! :-)) - without the possessive is more idiomatic I think - nice cool 30° here in the house - my mum wants to go home to winter in Oz!
