I can't warm up to the term *hall marketing* and I have only a vague idea of what is meant by *Hallenmarketing* (35 Googles, BTW)

Not sure about this at all, but looking at the German Google hits, it seems that "Hallenmarketing" refers to the marketing of the halls themselves, which are usually known - in market research circles at least - as venues. So I'd go with "venue marketing" here.

For what it's worth, there are 22,500 hits for venue marketing, which is more than "hall marketing", most of which seem to be company names anyway.

Melanie, I think that despite your qualms, "hall marketing" is your best bet, because it does mean selling, i.e. marketing halls for events. You might possibly say "hall advertising and marketing" as an alternative, but it does come back to the same thing. Hope this helps

: "Hall marketing" doesn't really sound very snappy and I can't imagine ever seeing it apart from in translations. I think the word "hall" is somewhat stuffier than its German counterpart
