Humaniści jak Erazm z Roterdamu itp. to oczywiście Humanisten, dzisiejsi to Geisteswissenschaftler. Taki jest też podział kierunków na każdym niemieckim uniwerku: Geisteswissenschaften i Naturwissenschaften.

Sorry, powinno być "z Rotterdamu". Dałem się wypuścić, bo słownik podaje pisownię "Hanower" i "hanowerski".
