"plastique" of a person is "physical beauty" but not appropriate for films. Maybe "sheer beauty" but I'm inclined to opt for "innate beauty"

: Hi Allan - of your two suggestions, I think "sheer" best conveys the idea of "splendeur". I'm not sure "innate" does.

I see it the other way round Sandra. "Innate" is the "plastique" bit of this & "splendeur" the "beauty".

Does 'plastique' not simply refer to the artistry involved? 'Plastique' is always a tricky one, and can mean 3-dimensional, but not sure that's appropriate here.
