Italian term

U.

Non-PRO Italian to English Bus/Financial General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
The initial occurs in a stamp appended to a notarized document relating to the founding of a company. After giving the date and place the text reads "€ 133,24 U. Direttore F.to". (I take F.to as "firmato").
Proposed translations (English)
2 Ufficio
3 V.

Discussion

Thomas Ochiltree Apr 11, 2006:
The company being founded is "unipersonale". But I hesitate to translate this "U" as that because of its position before the noun.
Gian Apr 11, 2006:
If it is a V (not a U) it means Vice Direttore

V.

If it is a V. Direttore it is Vice Direttore.
If they make a sign (something like /) it means that the person is signing in lieu of the director
