Gourd’s Axiom: A meeting is an event at which the minutes are kept and the hours are lost. I see no way to traslate this into Spanish. It could be explained of course, but the funny effect would be lost. I post this as a challenge for minds more creative than my own. Please excuse me if I only give points to a clear and funny translation.

Not funny but ...
Comment: "As good a translation as possible, but the witty effect from the play on words 'llevar las minutas' / 'conservar los minutos' is lost. I advised the client to substitute this for another one from a previous edition."

Ooops! I noticed my second choice is wrong - it should be read as "en el que los minutos quedan y las horas se van".
Salu2!

Entrego la traducción existente en la red, pues lógicamente estas leyes han sido traducidas previamente y tienen un significado enraizado.
