Nous voulons nous faire complice d’une couleur, d’un bonheur latin,

French to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
« Nous voulons nous faire complice d’une couleur,
d’un bonheur latin, en réveillant avec les sons,
les émotions, le pouvoir et le parfum des mots de la langue »

This is the complete heading introduction (before the title) to a press dossier by a vocal group that sings Baroque music, written by the director. I'm stumbling over any way of getting something of the original without sounding silly and/or awkward. Given the prominence given this text, it needs to flow.

We seek to capture the color and joy of the Latin language

... using the its sound, emotion, power, and flavor to stir the mind and soul.

agree French Foodie : Remove the "the" before "its sound" and I think this flows very nicely.

Our wish is to reflect a latin exuberance and colour by

awakening the sounds, emotions, power and essence of the language.

I'm not sure that this doesn't sound awkward, but it's just for starters.

Good luck!

Through latin colour and joie de vivre, ...

...we want to use sounds to awaken the emotions,
the power and the fragrance of the spoken word

(of course, it depends on how you interpret "langue", but presumably this doesn't need to be too literal, as long as it brings in the audiences. Anyway, this part doesn't come into the remit!)
