lose the grip

English to Portuguese Medical Medical: Instruments PT-BR
Grasp the firing handle with full force to a position to lose the grip and a click is heard, which means the firing is completed.
When firing completes, the fire handle is replaced and return the red safety knob in 90o.

My sincere condolences - your original text is really very bad - it is very difficult to figure out what the writer is trying to convey.

Fechar ???

There's obviously a typo here, and the one that makes sense is "grasp... with full force to a position to CLOSE the grip and a click is heard..." A picture of the device would be very helpful, but I can imagine you have to squeeze the handles (grip) until they close and activate the mechanism that "fires" the clip or staple. My thoughts.

agree Susanne Rindlisbacher : makes sense

Thanks
agree Vidomar (X) : It surely makes much more sense than losing the grip while a click is heard.

retirar/arrancar o puxador

Assim me soa, em PT-PT, esta parte da frase:«Com o punho de ejecção firmemente seguro, leve-o para a posição de retirar o puxador. Ouve-se um clique, o que significa que o processo de ejecção está pronto.»
