Swedish term

kaltopp

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime
I fråga om fasta steg, stegpinnar eller lejdare på kaltopp, master, luftrör eller liknande plats är minsta tillåtna steglängd 250 mm.
From safety regulations for vessels. I understand that 'kaltopp' means the bare top part of a mast, but is there a special name for this in English?

"above the shroud"

The English term comes from the tall ships where the top of the mast sat above the standing and running rig. As far as I know there is no straight word in English. I suggest You instead use a descriptive term like 'bare pole' or someting similar.

top of the mast

This seems to be a very commonly used phrase. I googled "top of the mast" + ladder - the results are in the link, hope they help.
