Spanish to English Other Fisheries shrimp farming
Refers to stage of shrimp farming, putting in pools. After initial stage they are put in another pool for fattening. Sembrar is early stage. Not clear to me whether there is English equivalent.

google FAO shrimp culture Step by step description of the process plus nice drawings. The seem to pour the fry/larvae into tubs. The nect stage is in a "grow out" pond. You live & learn!

Extensive management system

This type of shrimp farming operation is the traditional practice of natural seeding of ponds with shrimps by tidal inflow or pumping. Seeds may be stocked but of low density (3 000–5 000/ha); rearing of shrimps depends on natural food.
