Спасибо. А насчет ритма - в конце фразы его можно немного поломать. ordinary words - это внутренняя рифма, но вялый ритм...

I think I'd turn it around and start the sentence with "words cannot describe (or convey)..", you could add 'everyday' to words but I think that's probably a given in the expression already. I definitely would avoid the use of the word 'tongues' unless I've completely misunderstood the context as 'speaking in tongues' in church terms often refers to someone being possessed and speaking language that is unintelligible to those around.
