Have you ever researched how much money you could make as a freelancer? There was a guy here not long ago who was boasting that he 'broke the record and made 100k in a year by translating' and most people here were waxing lyrical about his exploits. Just food for thought.

Not in my case, no. But there are other factors that make me not want to freelance as well, such as not wanting to work from home all the time.

I used to get bored when I worked with other things (I was a business manager for 20 years), but since I started translating, I rarely ever get bored. I hope you find something you love to do, like I did, one day.
