Involution, breast
regression of the glandular epithelium and connective tissue which are replaced by fat. The process takes place in the peri- and postmenopausal period. Radiographically, the involution is characterized by an increasing radiolucency due to the relative increase of the less attenuating fatty component. The degree of involution varies substantially between individuals. It is known that women on certain types of hormone replacement therapy, women with a late first birth and women who had a family history of breast cancer have denser (less fatty) than average breasts.

'Υποστροφή' is one of those words that have given me trouble in the past, and I noticed a while ago that 'involution' is one possible translation.
For 'involution' I find (amongst other meanings) 'υποστροφή, παλινδρόμηση΄ υπόστροφος μεταβολή ....' and 'υπόστροφος εξέλιξη'.
