I am a native Finnish freelancer providing EN-FI translation and post-editing services. FI-EN and Finnish only services are also available depending on the project. My professional focus is on translating factual texts. I specialize in environmental topics. Previously, I have translated and post-edited EU texts which have dealt with such topics as: sustainable development, agriculture, climate change, international relations, social issues, politics and regulations.
Currently, I am studying for an MA in English Language and Translation.
During my BA studies in the same major, I minored in Multidisciplinary
Environmental Studies which provided a multifaceted perspective into
different environmental topics. I have always been interested in animals
and nature and enjoy learning about these topics in general. In
addition, I grew up on a dairy farm in the Finnish countryside, which
has given me first-hand knowledge on farm operations and agriculture.
In addition to translation and post-editing, I have experience in the evaluation of AI output. Machine translation interests me, and working with MT and AI related projects would intrigue me.
