I have 19 years’ experience from various aspects of the Translation and Software Localization industry, working with Translation, as well as Project Management, Engineering & Testing. Since spring 1999, I have been working as a Localization subcontractor. In later years, I have taken up wider areas of translation, exploiting my knowledge and interests in other technical areas, such as mechanical engineering, automotive marketing, electronics, mobile communication, and computer games. I have also started translating from German. Last year, I was also working as a Technical Writer in the mobile communication field, producing accurate documentation in English.
I am thorough and accurate, and have a high level of understanding the English language as well as the subject areas I am translating. Working with software translation has also greatly improved my intuition for translating texts out of context, a skill that is often needed in other areas of translation as well.
