: A case cannot be prosecuted, I am afraid.

You are mistaken, Olga. Cases can and are prosecuted. This is a standard expression in the US. It may help for you to do some research on the subject.

: Misdemeanor is a criminal offence. It is less serious than a felony but is still a crime. While administratie offence is not a crime.

You are sadly mistaken, George. Have you ever taken part in an "административное правонарушение" hearing in Russia/USSR? I have.

Administrative proceedings are held/conducted
Do not use "felony" or "misdemeanor" becasue these are both criminal offences!

: "Adm. proc." would work, no better or worse than "misd. prosecution". Your comments care mislead./Learn what "адм. прав-я" are.//I see you can't or follow rules. Best luck striving to become a translator. I've met other lawyers lost in the English lang.

it is really said that you still don't understand (or pretend not to understand) that misdemeanor is NOT административное нарушение. It is a criminal offence. /I've also met translators who don't have a clue about legal notions and just harm askers. Bye!
