Russian term

Эмиссионный (о ценных бумагах)

Russian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Подскажите, пожалуйста, соответствующий англ. термин. Emissive слишком похоже на кальку, а issued тоже вроде не совсем то. Спасибо заранее.

David Knowles Aug 17, 2005:
Search under KudoZ Search for . You will find 14 references, all of which translate and its forms into corresponding forms of "issue".
Dorene Cornwell Aug 17, 2005:
Check KudoZ and post a little more context. Emissive is definitely the wrong word, but I think it would be a good exercise for you to look it up.

Точно не emissive!!

agree David Knowles : Definitely - see my Note to Asker. Emission etc. are absolutely wrong, and to me have a somewhat sexual connotation!

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Получается issued securities (речь идет о цен. бумагах, уважаемый Сергей, как указано в теме). А что emissive выглядит калькой, я подчеркнула специально. Спасибо за уточнение."

Emission of securities ...

Just rephrase while translating: and write - Emission of securities ...

Indeed and no way for emissive---

Stay creative!
Peer comment(s):

disagree David Knowles : If you look for "emission of securities" on Google you will find nothing but Russian or former Russian republic references. On the other hand, "emission of semen" has a large number of references, thereby demonstrating the usual connotation in English.
