A decimal-minute is a minute that is divided into 10 parts (6-second intervals) and is often used in both science and business for ease of calculation.

When using decimal mintues you round to the nearest 10th of a minute. Thus, each measurment is within 6 seconds of being the correct time.

Thank you for your insight. My telephone bill does not use this terminology. It simply lists the time in decimal minutes, but then I live in Hong Kong and PCCW does the charging.
