German term

fremde Passagiere

German to English Law/Patents Ships, Sailing, Maritime in informal context
Context: in an informal context, differences between Chinese and other maritime law, in this case regarding 'fremde Passagiere'. It is only the term itself I am interested in, as this simply occurs as an example of differences, with no further information required about the specific nature of the differences.
Change log

Discussion

Paul Cohen Dec 1, 2009:
Further information required You wrote: "...with no further information required about the specific nature of the differences." But perhaps it would help to know what some of the other examples of differences refer to in the text.

...but of course, this is only guesswork so far. We need more info and at least one sentence where "fremde Passagiere" appears.

Chinese for "blinde Passagiere?"

Maybe this is a literal translation for what we call 'stowaways' in the USA.

Just a guess, though.
