längsschiffs and beidseitig in der Pflicht einer Jolle gehalterter Fußgurt, um das Ausreiten durch die Crew zu erleichtern. Diese Hängevorrichtung muss verstellbar sein, damit unterschiedlich große Segler mit guter Kondition die wirksamste Ausreithaltung ohne Ermüdung lange beibehalten können.

agree Jens Freese : Es kommt wohl darauf an, ob es BE oder AE sein soll. Im AE wäre "hike out", im BE "lean out" gebräuchlicher (s. Wikipedia: Hiking)
