A very commonly used saying in bithday speeches (and that is what I need it for), can somebody help me to find the original translation in English bibles?

Discussion

Melanie Nassar Feb 7, 2006:
@Brigitte: The Revised Standard Version mentions the "glory of young men" and the "beauty of old men" - nothing said about women in their best years! :-)
BrigitteHilgner Feb 7, 2006:
Commonly used? I am grey-haired and I have never heard it before. And I would object to somebody saying it to me!

"The glory of young men is their strength, grey hair the splendor of the old."

This is from Proverbs 20:29

(The spelling of grey is UK, but gray for US, depending on which you need).
