German term
Fadenkreis
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Medical: Instruments
Microscopes, accessories
Context:
"Optional erhalten Sie einen Schrägtubus mit Fadenkreis, so bleibt auch Ihre Dokumentation stets im Fokus."
This appears in a list of the standard components for a microscope used in dentistry. It mey be "filament ring" or "circular filament" (as opposed to square filament" but I am not sure. I have found "tilting/inclinable tube" for "Schrägtubus".
Many thanks for your help.

I think that your "Fadenkreis" may well be a "Fadenkreuz" (crosshairs) - see, for example, http://www.mikroskop-shop.de/Euromex/F_und_G-Reihe/Zubehor/z... (whilst there is not a single search hit for "Mikroskop +Fadenkreis").
Also see http://www.scitech.com.au/scopes & accessories/ microscopes/pdf/Nikon/SMZ1500.pdf and http://www.gaertnerscientific.com/microscopes/w126.htm
Schrägtubus could be "tilting eyepiece tube" (as in the Nikon product description cited above) but I am not 100 per cent sure about that.
